Dental Implants

Missing teeth can be a source of insecurity for many people. They can also lead to oral and general health issues, including tooth shifting and bone recession. Dental implants provide a more permanent solution than bridges and dentures for missing teeth.

Our dental clinic uses digital imaging, advanced ceramics, and state-of-the-art technology to create natural-looking and long-lasting restorative implants that look and function like the rest of your smile.

Root Canals

When tooth infections happen, they can be increasingly painful and impact your oral health. A root canal can save your tooth before it gets to the need for extraction.

Our dentists remove the infected or decayed pulp from the tooth, clean the inner chamber, and reshape and fill the space with a safe substance to prevent further infection. A crown will cap the tooth for extra strength and durability.

Dental Bridges

If you have gaps due to missing teeth, a dental bridge can prevent tooth shifting and bite misalignment. This restorative dentistry procedure helps protect your smile’s overall structure and strength.

A bridge reduces your surrounding teeth to make room for the tooth cap. Your dentist will take an impression to make the mould and send it to a lab. Once the permanent bridge arrives, we cement it to your natural teeth to keep it firmly in place.

Periodontal Therapy

Gum disease impacts many Canadians and can occur with improper care of your teeth. More serious issues like periodontal disease, receding gums, and tooth loss can arise when left untreated.

Periodontal therapy is a non-surgical gum treatment that uses root planing, curettage, and local medication to cleanse the tartar under your gumline.

Amalgam-Free Dental Fillings

Dental amalgam cavity fillings are composed of metals like mercury, silver, tin and copper alloy. They can harm your health due to the low levels of mercury in the compound.

At Yazdani Family Dentistry, we use medically safe, amalgam-free materials for our cavity restorations. It provides extra structural integrity and matches your tooth's colour for a more natural look.

Chipped Tooth Repairs

Treating chipped teeth typically depends on the severity of the injury. For minor chips, dental bonding may be employed, where a tooth-colored resin is applied and shaped to match the natural tooth. This provides a quick and cost-effective solution. In cases of more significant damage, such as larger chips or fractures, dental crowns may be recommended to cover and protect the affected tooth.

If the chip has caused damage to the tooth's pulp or nerve, a root canal procedure might be necessary. We provide dental consultations to help your understand what kind of service is right for your specific needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

We get a lot of questions, naturally, about the wide range of dental services we perform here at our Kanata & Kemptville dental clinics. Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions. Don't see yours answered here? Feel free to reach out to Yazdani Family Dentistry.

Every patient’s case is different. As such, there is no single greatest treatment for mouth restoration. Your dentist will present you with multiple options for restoring your smile and provide you with all of the necessary information for you to make a decision.

It ultimately depends on the type and amount of work that needs to be done to restore your smile. This can include crowns, bridges, veneers, implants and root canal therapy to name a few procedures.  Don’t worry though, we have financing options available to help make it affordable for you!

Again, this depends on the type and amount of work that needs to be done. It could be done within a few months, but could take up to a year. It is important to discuss your needs and goals with your dentist in order to formulate a plan to get the work done in a timeframe you are comfortable with.

We will review your medical history to determine if you are a good candidate for dental sedation. As this process often includes extracting and replacing multiple teeth, many of your treatments will be done with you under dental sedation.

Our dentists will work with you to formulate a treatment plan that will fit your specific goals and needs. As part of that plan, we will discuss how to best take care of your oral health over the course of your treatments. Following our at home care instructions closely, and taking good care of your oral health after all treatments are complete are the best ways to ensure the best results for your full mouth restoration for the years to come.
